When is Love not really Love?

Some people love someone for who they are, and some because of what they get from the relationship.

The Charismatic church is known for its worship and the presence of God among other things. However, God said to me about the current Charismatic movement, “their hearts are far from me!” How can this be I asked? It’s because most people that are in the Charismatic movement come for what God can do for them, not what they can do for God.

Love is an action, not a feeling. Love is when you are willing to sacrifice your needs and desires for someone else. It’s not that Charismatic Christians don’t love Jesus; it’s that they believe that feelings are more important than taking up the cross (Luke 14:27).

The “love” that is expressed in worship is real. The presence of God is real. The Holy Spirit really does show up and touch people. However, there is more to being a disciple of Jesus than great worship. 

When you love someone, how do you treat them? Do you ignore their wishes or treat them with deference and respect? Do you ignore their commands when they are too hard, or obey even though it costs you everything?

First seal broken

March 31, 2003

God revealed to me that Jesus had broken the first seal in the book of Revelation.

The appropriate scripture is:

Revelation 6
    1 Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, "Come."
2 I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

I have the sense that this event took place in the spiritual plane and that it will take a while for it to manifest in the physical plane.

March 14, 2003

There are going to be two waves of extreme blessings poured out on the Church. The first wave has already begun.

February 17, 2003

There will appear three closely spaced holes in one room of the US. The holes will be a minor disturbance and do no real damage, just a little mess. People will gather and look at the holes and assume that these holes herald the end of the world. Time will pass, and they will stop looking and go about their business.

February 13, 2003

For this season, The Holy Spirit is saying:

• The leadership of the country is protected by a thin but effective prophetic covering.
• Southern California has a shield about it.

November 16, 2002.

This word came in a dream.

In the past, the Church leaders have been mildly concerned with people "performing" to try to convince people that they are spiritual. It was obvious what was going on, so no one was too upset.

In the future, people will start to show extravagant love for Jesus. At first, the Church leaders will think these people are just weird. When more and more people show this love, the leaders will start to be concerned. They will wonder if it is from God. The main way that I saw the members showing their love for Jesus was in praise and in staying together both in the church and other gatherings much longer that usual.

This change in behavior is part a a sovereign move of the Holy Spirit. If you are a church leader, don't freak out, just let it happen.

October 28, 2002

I saw a V shaped formation with Jesus leading. The formation consisted of two lines of firemen in full fire fighting gear, marching in lock step behind Jesus. These firemen were not there to put out fires, but to start them.

This army was not going out into the world, but through the Church. The firemen were going to start two types of fires. One fire would burn away all the structures in the church and in the people in the church that are not of God. It's important to not attempt to put theses fires out.

The firemen were also starting fires in the hearts of the people in the Church. The fire is a fire for Jesus, one that would consume all that is not of Jesus, but also one that would shine forth so that others would see Jesus in their hearts.

April 2nd and 3rd of 2002

God revealed to me that we are currently in the Revelation 14 generation. God did not say that Revelation 4 through 13 had already happened.

Revelation 14, this generation:

God is calling us to

• Purity. Actually, he's calling us to outrageous purity
• Evangelism. The evangelism will now be successful in ways that we could not of dreamed of,

because of the coming judgment. This judgment is our motivation.

The fruits of the purity and evangelism will be

• Destruction of unfaithfulness
• judgment of the beast and it's followers

Throughout this generation, we must be steadfast. We'll need to be steadfast because of the reactions of the enemy. In this phase and the next part of this chapter, 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!'. I believe that this relates to what happens after this chapter.

The final fruit of this chapter is "THE Harvest". All the purity and evangelism plant the seeds for the final harvest.

What I don't know:

In the vein of "prophesying in part", I don't know:

• Anything about the Beast or it's mark
• How God will bring these things to pass
• How long this chapter lasts

I had the following dream towards the beginning of August 2001. I didn't write it down until August 25, 2001.

I was sitting on the steps of a big building although, I could not see how big it was or how broad. There were seven or eight stone steps and then a broad flat area before the building started. (I told Mary D. on Labor Day that the building reminded me of the courthouse in New York City as seen in the TV series ?Law and Order?).

I was on the top of the steps and there were many, many dead bodies strewn on the steps. I was sitting there wondering what happened and how they were all killed.

I was not hurt, just bewildered. This happened in the dark and there was very little light on the scene.

I kept looking for this dream to come ?literally? true. I was expecting a terrorist attack on a crowd that was on some steps.

After the events of September 11, I think this dream was in fact symbolic. I feel that this dream was about September 11th because I remember having the same feeling in the dream as I did watching the TV coverage. The feeling was ?how could all these people be dead? How is this possible???.
